Description from the seller

Ultra-rare vintage turntable, one of the first with linear drive. I am not aware of any other in Europe. This is the first record player of the Technics brand that uses a linear tracking system.

Linear tracking arm is used for the arm part.
In the linear tracking system, since the arm is always tangent to the sound groove of the record, tracking error can be eliminated by tracing the sound groove under exactly the same conditions as the cutting of the record. In addition, since the arm is a linear type with no offset angle, there is no inside force that is harmful to the reproduction of the record.
An arm drive device using mechanical servo is adopted, and no lateral pressure is applied to the needle tip, making it possible to use a light needle pressure high compliance cartridge of only 0.5g.
A belt drive system using a polyurethane belt is used for the turntable part, and an 8-pole hysteresis synchronous motor is used for the blind motor.
A special lightweight shell is used for the headshell. This headshell has a built-in device for adjusting the height and height of the cartridge. When replacing the cartridge, only the needle pressure needs to be adjusted and the height and position of the arm do not need to be changed.
In addition, various cartridges can be used with the connector and cartridge mounting dimensions using international standard 4-pin socket and mounting screw with 12.7 mm interval.
Equipped with a record lifter, records can be automatically lifted and stopped from the turntable by operating the lifter lever even when the turntable is rotating.
The wooden case/plinth fp-001 was sold separately as an option.
This device is designed for a 100-volt mains connection. I will supply a series transformer for connection to a 220-240-volt mains supply.

Used, but in very good condition with only very minor signs of wear commensurate with its age (see the photos). As is usual after prolonged use, the Plexiglas cover shows signs of wear and tear, and its left rear corner had to be glued, which is not attractive but is hardly noticeable from the front.
Motor and tone arm are in good working order. Includes cartridge, which is functional but has been used for several hours. The 60 Hz pulley has been adapted for the local 50 Hz using Tesafilm tape. According to current measurements, it currently runs at 33.4 revolutions per minute, but this can be optimised with a better pulley modification or thicker bearing oil.
Dimensions: 52,5 x 20,5 x 42,5 cm. Weight: 10,5 kg.

I will pack the record player professionally, extremely securely and well cushioned. It will be shipped with DHL.
