Gio Mondelli is a multifaceted contemporary Italian artist. His pictorial research has focused primarily on the discovery of new techniques, styles, and trends. After an academic career, his works already capture the essence of Symbolist and Surrealist painting. For a short time, he painted more classical and hyperrealist pieces, but was not satisfied until he became an Expressionist. Professional art critics appreciate his paintings for their truly unique perspective on landscape.

Gio Mondelli was born in 1953 in Italy, where he graduated from the LABA Libera Accademia di Belle Arti. His works are held in private collections in Belgium, Germany, France, and the United States.
