Original work by Spanish artist Alfonso Sánchez titled Perder la batalla XXL - NO Reserve, a mixed media on canvas created after 2020, signed by hand on the back, unframed and rolled, with stretched dimensions of 120 cm by 150 cm (actual canvas larger), in the Expressionist style, an original edition, with a certificate of authenticity included.
Description from the seller
Description of the artwork “Perder la batalla”
Original, unique work.
Mixed technique (acrylic, pigments, oil stick, charcoal, pencil, waxes, Chinese ink, and gesso) on canvas.
A painting created through free improvisation using the music from the album 'Viaje a Roma' by Galerna.
A story of the past and the present. The unknown, what slips through our fingers... Nature, antiquity, the earthly and the spiritual. We believe ourselves to be gods, but we are only monkeys that have come to more.
Gestural, intuitive painting that lets things unfold and leans on what appears. Making the most of the accident and accepting the consequences.
The need to tell stories, to leave a mark, to understand the world, which is always both modern and ancient.
The work is delivered without a frame (professional packaging, rolled in a tube). Your local framer will need to re-stretch it and mount it on a frame.
The indicated measurements are for the canvas once stretched and mounted on the frame. The actual measurements of the canvas are larger to allow for its mounting.
Hand-signed on the back. Includes an authenticity certificate.
