Silver brooch with natural amber – 1930s.
Elegant antique brooch from the 1930s, crafted in silver and adorned with a large natural oval amber cabochon, polished to a cabochon finish. The amber exhibits a warm honey/orange tone, with natural inclusions and internal veining, characteristic features of the material and particularly appreciated by collectors.
The silver setting, with a soft and stylized design, recalls Art Deco / early Modernism, with curved elements that harmoniously frame the central stone. At the back there is the brooch with pin and safety clasp, correctly functioning. Visible are punch marks on the silver (as shown in the close-up photo), compatible with a period silver production.
The set comes across as balanced and decorative, suitable for use as jewelry as well as for a collection of vintage bijoux and antique silverware.
Good overall condition for an item from the 1930s. The silver shows normal patina, micro-scratches, and signs of wear. The amber shows slight surface marks consistent with age and use, with no evident breaks.
