Description from the seller
A rare 19th-century crystal carafon by Montcenis, historically linked to Baccarat and Saint-Louis.
This carafe originates from Montcenis glassworks, a manufactory closely connected to both Baccarat and Saint-Louis in the 19th century, sharing craftsmen, cutting techniques, and stylistic traditions.
Many early Baccarat and Saint-Louis designs were produced in Montcenis before the houses fully separated their production lines.
The condition remains excellent: the bodies are clear, bright, and finely worked authentic pieces of 19th-century French crystal craftsmanship.
A refined and highly decorative flask, perfect for collectors of Baccarat, Saint-Louis, or early French crystal.
