Stella coffee maker by Ferrara di Sgarbi-Chiozzi & C., designed in the 1950s, made of chrome-plated metal with a bakelite base, 24 cm high, 12 cm wide, 20 cm deep, made in Italy, in good condition.
Description from the seller
Stella coffee maker, Ferrara patent by Sgarbi-Chiozzi & Co.
This model, rarely used, with a power cord.
A piece of Italian coffee history.
This rare Stella coffee maker is an icon of the 1950s, produced in Italy and designed to bring the elegance of vintage design directly into the kitchen.
Made of chrome-plated metal with a Bakelite base and a curved spout, it features the famous automatic mechanism that stops operation when dispensing ends: a small marvel of domestic engineering of the era.
Access to the water reservoir is obtained by unscrewing the upper knob, which also houses the filter. The coffee then flows from the steel spout.
Conditions: good for its age, with fascinating signs of wear that tell its story (see photo). Not tested recently, sold as a collectible piece.
Ideal for: collectors, lovers of retro design, or as a unique decorative item.
Year: circa 1950
In overall excellent condition considering its history. On the bottom: “Made in Italy” V. 110-230. Total height approx. 24 cm, lower diameter approx. 12 cm. As shown in the photograph. An extraordinary piece that can make a difference in a collection of old coffee pots. One-of-a-kind piece.
