Nice lot of items featuring traditional Hindelooper painting, a Dutch folk-art style.
It includes an oval tray (37 x 26 cm), a candlestick (22 cm tall), and a small scoop, all hand-painted.
The decorations consist of typical Frisian floral motifs on a red background.
There is also a book available, "the Hindelooper Painter Book" (Wil Pietersen-Nauta and Leidy Venekamp-Looms), with information about the traditional Hindelooper painting style.
Roosje Hindeloopen is a world-famous, centuries-old artisanal workshop in Hindeloopen (Friesland), specializing in the traditional Hindelooper furniture painting, a living cultural heritage that has been handed down for generations by the Stallmann family, with Titus Stallmann as the current master painter who has continued the work since 1894, even as a Royal Warrant holder to the Royal Household.
All items are in good condition.
