Ceramic lamp “Horus”, signed by Georges Deliège. Produced in the 20th century, circa 1970, this sculptural lamp reflects the artist’s modern artistic language and interest in symbolic forms. Executed in ceramic, the piece combines functional design with a strong sculptural presence. Good condition. A small stable hairline crack to the ceramic body is visible on the back (see photos). Georges Deliège (1930–2010) was a Belgian painter and ceramist born in Liège. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège between 1961 and 1967, and later specialized in sculpture and ceramics at the Academy of Braine-l’Alleud. He also worked as a professor of visual arts.
