Decorative cloisonné garniture – central vase and two lion-motif pots in bronze – 20th century
Superb cloisonné decorative garniture, consisting of a central vase accompanied by two matching covered pots, richly decorated with polychrome floral motifs on an enamelled ground, in an elegant palette of greens, ochres, reds and blues, enhanced by delicate gold borders.
The two vases are topped with lids adorned with bronze Fu lions, traditional symbols of protection and prosperity in Asian art.
The cloisonné work is especially meticulous, with clearly defined partitions and a deep, bright enamel, indicating high-quality decorative manufacture intended for export to the European market.
