Description from the seller
Precimax 17 Jewels pocket watch is a manual mechanical model of Swiss manufacture, probably produced between the 1950s and 1960s. The Precimax brand, founded in 1933, was known for producing Swiss watches in the mid- to high-end range that used quality components from other makers, before disappearing during the quartz crisis in the 1980s.
Watch details
Brand and Movement: The watch is from the brand Precimax, and the inscription "17 Jewels" indicates that its manual-winding mechanical movement uses 17 synthetic ruby bearings at the pivot points to reduce friction and improve durability and accuracy.
Shock protection: The word 'Incabloc' on the dial refers to a popular and effective shock-protection system, invented in 1934, which protects the delicate balance-wheel pivot from potential breaks caused by impacts. It was a common mark of quality printed on the dials of many Swiss watches from the mid-20th century.
