Set of four original bentwood chairs in the Viennese Thonet style, dating from circa 1900–1910, made of boxwood, in good condition with signs of aging, with three chairs having replacement wooden seats and one chair with an original worn cane seat.

Set of four original bentwood chairs in the style of Thonet, produced in Central Europe (Austria–Hungary / Germany) around 1890–1915.
These chairs are made of steam-bent beechwood, following the classic Viennese bentwood technique that became iconic at the turn of the 19th–20th century. The elegant curved backrests and lightweight yet sturdy construction are characteristic of Thonet and related manufacturers such as Kohn, Fischel or Mundus.
Condition
• Structurally solid and stable
• No visible cracks in the bentwood elements
• Visible signs of age and use, consistent with their age
Important notice (restoration):
• Three chairs have replacement wooden seats (later replacements)
• One chair retains a woven cane seat, showing wear and requiring restoration or replacement
This has been taken into account in the condition and valuation of the set.
