Tea service - Silver - Antique Tea Infuser Spoon
This is an antique tea infuser spoon from my swiss grandmother, made of solid 800 silver, dating from around 1900–1920.
The piece is designed in the form of a spoon with a hinged, perforated bowl, allowing loose tea leaves to be filled inside and infused directly in a teacup.
The silver bears the “800” fineness mark together with a crown hallmark, typical for German silver of the late 19th / early 20th century.
The interior is not gilded, which is confirmed by its silver-toned appearance.
The design is simple and elegant, typical of the Jugendstil / early Art Deco period.
