Beautiful Chinese blue-and-white porcelain plate/dish with a hand-painted, vivid depiction of a rider on horseback in a landscape setting. The broad rim is richly decorated with lotus and cloud motifs. The underside bears an apocryphal mark Da Ming Chenghua nian zhi. The plate is made in Ming style.
The material is hand-painted porcelain, underglaze cobalt blue, and in very good condition considering its age. Normal signs of aging and no visible restorations,
