Description from the seller
For sale: compact rangefinder camera Yashica MG-1 with Yashinon 45mm f/2.8 lens, a classic example of 1970s Japanese photographic production, ideal for collectors and film photography enthusiasts in 35mm format. The body features a black finish with a dark gray metal top cap and gold engraving “Yashica MG-1” on the front, while the top cap houses the main controls including the rapid advance dial, chrome shutter release button, mode selectors, and the integrated rangefinder window. The Yashinon 45mm f/2.8 made in Japan clearly bears the inscriptions on the front with the wording “lens made in japan” and is equipped with the original black plastic front cap with the Yashica logo in relief, a detail that completes the standard package. The body is clad in black textured faux leather that covers the entire front and rear surfaces, ensuring a good grip, while on the sides there are metal strap lugs, a functional detail typical of compact cameras of the era. The cosmetic condition shows normal signs of use consistent with the camera’s age, with no evident damage to the body or lens, making this exemplar interesting for those seeking a Yashica rangefinder to use.
