Contessa Nettel vintage bellows camera from the 1960s–1970s, in very good physical condition and tested and working.
Description from the seller
For sale: Zeiss Ikon Contessa Nettel, a vintage bellows/plate camera with great collecting charm, ideal for enthusiasts of German historical photography and for those seeking a significant display piece. The body presents good cosmetic condition, with dark leatherette covering and a robust field-camera-style build, complete with bellows and metal rails, while on the top there is a frame-type sports viewfinder for quick framing.
On the front is mounted a Zeiss lens bearing the marking “ Carl Zeiss Jena ” on a Compur/Compur-style shutter, with the ring and mechanical controls clearly visible; the lenses appear clean in the photo and the optical group is well centered on the front standard. The attached technical sheet indicates: body good, skins good, shutter not functioning, lens with clean lenses, diaphragm functioning and focusing functioning, with overall conditions described as decent but “excellent for collectors.”
Overall, the item shows the normal patina of age on metal and leather, with no obvious tears in the bellows in the visible parts, making it an interesting specimen especially for collection or display (considering the shutter is declared non-operational). Also ideal as a base for restoration/maintenance by a specialized technician, for those wishing to bring back to functioning a great Zeiss Ikon classic. Included is a Zeiss Ikon Contessa Nettel camera as shown in the images.
