Description from the seller
ITT vintage ball-shaped loudspeakers, known for their compact spherical enclosure that minimizes resonances and offers an unusually wide dispersion of high and mid frequencies. Thanks to the spherical cabinet construction, diffraction is greatly reduced, resulting in an extremely natural stereo imaging and a clear, detailed sound character.
The loudspeakers are equipped with a broadband driver with a lightweight cone and high sensitivity, making them efficient to drive with both vintage receivers and modern amplifiers with low to moderately high output power. The internal damping and acoustically optimized cabinet size ensure a controlled response in the midrange and a surprisingly full sound for their size.
Technical characteristics (generic ITT Kugel design):
Full-range speaker with accurate high-frequency response.
Spherical ABS or plastic housing for minimal enclosure discoloration.
Nominal impedance: typically 4–8 ohms
Power: 10–25 W RMS (depending on model)
Frequency range: approx. 80 Hz – 18 kHz
High scattering due to isotropic radiating geometry.
Suitable for near-field and space-filling applications
These speakers combine classic ITT engineering with a unique acoustic design, ideal for collectors, fans of vintage hi-fi, or anyone seeking an accurate, characterful wideband sound.
