ABOUT THE ARTIST
Guillermo Antonio Montes (Madrid, 1971)
Spanish hyperrealist, multifaceted, and self-taught artist, he began his training in Antonio Pradales' studio and later at the Atenea art school, subsequently developing his professional career in the digital world as an art director in studios (Pincelada gráfica, Grupo Digital Trece) and large advertising agencies (McCann). His artistic career is wide-ranging and varied, with his techniques and styles evolving over the years. His early work focused on still lifes and landscapes in oil, and he later studied new techniques such as pastel, watercolor, and pen and ink, drawing animals, streets, buildings, and more. These techniques led him to return to pure drawing using graphite and pen, tackling the subject of portraits and still lifes with everyday objects such as simple marbles. He is currently developing a collection focused on the world of motor racing, highlighting the degree of detail achieved with the use of acrylics, combining the pure, fluid lines of vehicle design and returning to the use of color in his works.
