Mercedes-Benz 220 SE W111 from 1961, blue exterior with red interior, 2.2 L six‑cylinder injected engine, 4‑speed manual transmission, 121,000 miles, matching numbers and colours, Dutch registration, service history available, located in the Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Unique and unrestored and completely rust-free W111 sedan. We bought this car in Montana from an elderly collector.
Bodywork/Finish: very original with a rather unusual original color scheme namely (blue on the outside and red on the inside). The car was repainted once a long time ago. The underside is untreated and super clean. The chrome work is also still neat for its age.
Technical: Mercedes 220 SE 1961 2.2-liter, 6-cylinder, injection, 4-speed manual (1)21,000 miles. Runs and shifts and drives well.
Interior: The interior still looks completely original and the seats seem to be genuine leather. The dashboard is still in very nice, authentic condition with its original steering wheel in ivory and radio. Both in the luggage compartment and under the hood, everything is very well maintained.
Documents: Documentation (booklets) and the board tools are available.
Additional information: Of course this car is 63 years old and there will surely still be something to improve. Equipped with a new Dutch license plate.
We try to describe the cars as honestly and accurately as possible, but since they are used vehicles, there may always be something that requires attention or shows signs of use. Therefore, we kindly ask you to come and view the car if you have any doubts.
We can help you with transport throughout Europe.
This car can be viewed and possibly picked up in Damwoude, Netherlands.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
