Junghans electric table clock, calibre W288, made in Germany circa 1955, with a purple hammered brass case and dial, glass intact, powered by a 180–250 V 50 Hz mains synchronous motor, in very good, original condition and in working order.

Junghans electric desk clock, caliber W288, Germany ca. 1955
Electric table clock by Junghans, manufactured in Germany in the 1950s.
Equipped with the original Junghans caliber W288 (electric), clearly marked in the movement and featuring the Junghans star.
The clock mechanism is powered by a synchronous motor and is suitable for mains voltage of 180–250 V / 50 Hz.
The clock is in its original, unaltered condition, including the original power cable and plug, which has rarely been preserved.
The housing shows a characteristic mid-century design with a floating frame and carrying handle. Finished in a light purple hammer finish. The dial in the center is also finished in the aforementioned purple hammer finish. The light hands and the glass are original; the glass is intact and without damage. The movement functions correctly and runs steadily on mains power.
