Description
Very high-quality English bracket clock from the late Victorian era, made circa 1870–1880. Bracket clocks were originally used as representative table or mantel clocks in wealthy English households and are characterized by their architectural cases as well as their complex movements.
This clock is equipped with a mechanical mainspring movement that features a music and chiming mechanism on 8 bells (8 Bells) with a repeater – a particularly elaborate and sought-after version.
