AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Unique car, Bentley S II, originating from an aristocratic family from Wallonia, owned by a former baron.

Bodywork / paintwork:

The car is delivered in this beautiful and incredibly elegant two-tone finish of black over metallic silver. This cherished possession has always received the utmost care. The fine bodywork has been correctly aligned with beautiful, tight panel gaps. The paintwork has aged remarkably well over the years and still presents itself superbly.

The car has previously had spray work on the left and right sides; these have been repainted in the original color. The quality of the silver paint has been redone fairly recently, good quality and even in gloss. The black paint is in decent condition but shows signs of aging / blistering. The bodywork is in very good condition.

Technical

The 6233 cc engine with dual carburetion starts up immediately and runs very smoothly and quietly, this ensures a very pleasant and smooth driving experience. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly between gears. The brakes have received the necessary attention in the past, and the suspension is in very good condition. The car is equipped with power steering, 4 electric windows, white-line tyres and a radio. The car provides a comfortable driving experience. Before the car departs, it will also receive a complete inspection and maintenance. The undercarriage is still in very good condition for its age and mileage. The tires are new.

Interior

The entire leather interior has, in the past, received the necessary attention. Furthermore, it is finished with walnut wood, which provides a very beautiful luxurious finish. Picnic tables in the backrest of the front bench, specially for fellow passengers in the rear seat.

Additional Information

The Bentley S2 was the result of further development of the S1.
The biggest advantage over its predecessor was the aluminum 6.2-liter V8 engine. The engine produced 200 hp and was transmitted via a 4-speed automatic. The Bentley S2 also has power steering, electrically operated windows, an improved heating system, and many more small improvements that every carmaker introduces when launching a new model. Mechanically the car is very well maintained. The luxurious appearance of the car is further enhanced by the superb driving characteristics.
Production began in 1955 and the last one was built in 1965 under the names Bentley S 3 and Cloud 3. The Bentley S II was introduced in 1960.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
