The name "Tula" specifically refers to the Russian city of Tula, a historical center for this type of craftsmanship, particularly on weaponry and utilitarian objects.

This pocket watch is fitted with a classic Lépine movement, designed for open-face pocket watches, beautifully finished with Geneva stripes and ruby jewels. (crown at 12 o’clock, small seconds at 6 o’clock). The Lépine layout is one of the most respected traditional Swiss movement constructions and was widely used in high-quality pocket watches of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
