HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
This MG C Roadster began its life on July 18, 1968 in the United States. In 2002 it was imported to the Netherlands, where it was subsequently completely 'body-off' restored. A photo report of this is available. In 2006 the MG came into the possession of the current owner, who spared no expense to prepare the car for rallying. Both technically and aesthetically the car has been improved, but it is also relatively easy to return to its original state. With the car there is a beautiful fabric-covered folder containing a lot of documentation including appraisal reports, maintenance invoices, parts catalogs and a trim catalog. The last owner has used the car for both rallying and holidays: by mounting the soft top and the rear hatch with a luggage rack the car is easily transformed from a sporty rally car into a wonderful, practical grand tourer.

Exterior
A sporty appearance: a subtle yellow color (Primrose Yellow) of the paintwork, the well-known 'Mini-Lite' alloy wheels with central wheel nut, a 'Sebring' front spoiler and of course the absence of chrome bumpers and the addition of stickers, which makes it a true rally car. Of course, the original parts are included with the car, such as the chrome bumpers, front lip and seats. Both the striking black-and-white checkered polyester hardtop and the black fabric soft top are in good condition. The body panels fit correctly together. Also the glass, rubbers and the chromework are in good condition. There are only light signs of use. At the front there are 4 Cibie fog lamps/spotlights and on the side the 'Union Jack' emblems. At the rear, extra fog lights and mud flaps are mounted. The headlights have protective covers. Furthermore, several seatbelts (3-point and 4-point), a cover for the soft top, an extra tailgate with luggage rack and a roll bar are present on the car.

Interior
The black interior is currently equipped with rally seats.
The original SKAI leather seats are present with the car.
The upholstery is in good condition.
There is a sporty leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel and an aluminum gear knob installed.
In addition, extra gauges have been mounted, for example for the battery voltage and trip meters.
Other upgrades include a horn operable from the dashboard, USB ports, 12-volt outlets, a master disconnect switch and a digital compass.
In the trunk there are tools, a spare wheel and a fire extinguisher.

technical
A pleasure to drive: the original 2.9-liter six-cylinder inline engine produces a wonderful sound and is operated by the manual transmission, which was overhauled about 4 years ago. The overdrive provides a comfortable 'fifth gear'. The engine does not burn oil, is well tuned and does not suffer from overheating. Many technical upgrades have been carried out, including: Koni shock absorbers, special brakes, two electric fuel pumps, Weber carburetors, a stainless steel exhaust, a spaghetti exhaust manifold, a specially designed intake manifold, electronic ignition and a new type of alternator. The 15-inch wheels are equipped with good Goodyear all-season tires. The car drives very well, so whether the car is used for rallying, touring, or holidays: this MG is ideally suited.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
