Provenance & story
This figurine comes from a private family collection, inherited from my grandparents, who owned it since the 1970s. It was displayed as a decorative centerpiece and carefully preserved over decades.
Symbolic meaning
The eagle has long symbolized power, dominance, vigilance and victory.
In this dramatic hunting scene, the eagle overpowering the rabbit represents the triumph of strength, determination and survival — a theme frequently used in European decorative arts to convey authority and natural order.
Because of its symbolic strength, large size, and authentic IRIS Cluj origin, this piece is highly appealing not only as a decorative object, but also as a collectible of Eastern European porcelain and socialist-era design.
