Micol Forti (Rome, 1964) is a renowned historian of modern and contemporary art, at the helm of the Vatican Museums' Contemporary Art Collection.
Having trained at a Specialization School and a PhD, she consolidated her academic profile at the University of Rome
In the institutional sphere, since 2016 she has held the role of Consultor at the Pontifical Council for Culture, within which she is also an active member of the Permanent Women's Consultation. Of international note is her work for the Venice Art Biennale: she has served as curator of the Holy See Pavilion in 2015 (56th edition) and Executive Director for the pavilion's debut in 2013 (55th edition).
