Description from the seller
For sale: Goerz Steinheil folding 6.5x9 camera, a German-made bellows camera (circa 1909), a fascinating example of early European photographic technology from the early 20th century, ideal for collectors of historical precision instruments. The camera body appears robust and well-built, covered in black leather, with an extensible bellows supported by solid black metal struts that provide stability and a professional look.
On the front panel is mounted the Compur shutter with clearly readable shutter speeds and apertures, surrounded by the C.P. Goerz Berlin lens, a brand renowned for optical quality. There is also an external sighting/viewfinder mounted to the side, typical of reportage or field cameras of that period.
the attached technical sheet describes very favorable conditions: good camera body, functioning shutter, clean lenses, working mechanical movements and focusing, good bellows and overall good condition. this model represents a synthesis of German engineering (Goerz) and quality optics, perfect for anyone seeking a complete folding camera that is mechanically in order for display or study. included is a Goerz Steinheil folding 6.5x9 camera as shown in the images.
