Description from the seller
The most beloved CD player that PHILIPS has made. From the 600 Series with the renowned TDA1541 Dual-DAC chip, TDA 1541, which almost rivals the most expensive MARANTZ CD players. (See the photo above). This CD player features the well-known CDM4 mechanism and a very smoothly operating CD tray, and it can also play 8 cm small CDs. The unit has hardly been used, and this is evident from the display, which shows no signs of wear.
After inserting the CD, the display immediately shows the total number of tracks and the running time. You can also see the remaining time for each playing track. You can program up to 30 tracks, and with replay you play the same track again and with repeat the entire CD again. With the fast-search function you can search the CD at 2 to 3x speed. With shuffle-play all tracks play in a random order. This player is capable of calculating which tracks would be chosen to exactly fill the cassette tape if you wanted to record it. It also features the FTS (Favorite Track System) which you can program per CD disk. If you program that, the player will know next time exactly which tracks you’d like to hear from the loaded CD and skip the rest. You can give all tracks a name via the keyboard. Via Music Scan it plays about 20 seconds of each track from the CD to let you decide which song or music passage appeals to you most. In short, too much to name. really a powerhouse.
This CD player can also be operated by a Philips remote RD5863 or a replacement (not included).
