Description from the seller
Description
Elegant French console table in Louis XV / Louis XVI style, manufactured in the first half of the 20th century (ca. 1900–1940).
The table is made of gilded cast iron and richly decorated with classical rocailles, floral motifs, and mask heads, typical of historicist furniture inspired by 18th-century French styles. The whole rests on gracefully shaped legs and is finished with a glass top.
This type of console table was produced as a decorative interior piece of furniture for representative spaces such as salons, entrances, or galleries. The workmanship and detailing indicate an artisanal, yet mass-produced production from France.
The console table is in good used condition, with slight signs of aging and a lovely patina appropriate to its age. No visible structural defects.
A decorative and stylish object that fits well in both a classic and eclectic interior.
