Description from the seller
Vehicle description – BMW E30 325iA Automatic (1986)
Introduction
This 1986 BMW E30 325iA automatic is up for auction, a unit that has been specially well cared for, ready to drive and maintained with professional care. It is a model highly regarded within the E30 range for its balance of comfort, reliability, and classic character.
Bodywork / Paint
The bodywork has been repainted in full at our specialized workshop Cat Classics Garage, strictly preserving its original color Cosmosblau Metallic. The repainting was carried out for preventive and cosmetic reasons, since the original paint showed minor imperfections resulting from small parking scrapes, with no relation to any accidents or structural damage. The vehicle's prior condition is verifiable through photographic material.
This unit is completely free of rust and damage. It has no prior welds and no areas that require structural intervention.
The rubber seals and chrome components are in good condition, preserving their original appearance. The vehicle retains all original glass, and the front and rear lights are in excellent condition and fully functional.
TECHNICAL CONDITION / MECHANICS
Mechanically, the vehicle has recently undergone a complete tune-up. The water pump and timing belt have been replaced, and a general inspection has been carried out, including fluid levels, filters, and oils.
The automatic transmission has been inspected and is functioning properly, with smooth shifts and no anomalies. The braking system has been inspected and the vehicle is fitted with new tires. Additionally, the temperature sensor has been replaced.
The engine starts reliably both when cold and when hot, and the car runs normally, with no leaks or abnormal noises. It has satisfactorily passed its most recent technical inspections, being up to date with the ITV, with no irregularities or pending issues.
Interior
The interior is preserved in a notable state of originality. The upholstery of the doors, seats, and roof is completely original, with no restorations or replacements. It is fabric upholstery with bluish details, in very good condition, with no tears or significant wear.
The carpet has no damage, including the driver's footwell area. The dashboard and instrument panel are in good condition, with no cracks or splits.
Regarding the electrical system, all components are functioning correctly, except for the right side of the instrument cluster, whose operation is intermittent; this is a known and common fault in BMW E30s.
Documentation
The vehicle retains its original documentation, including the maintenance seals at the rear, which allows verification of the traceability and authenticity of the mileage, which is original. The necessary documentation is available for its proper transfer.
EXTRAS AND EQUIPMENT
Original solar roof manual
Electric side mirrors
Original BMW BBS wheels with their four original metal caps
Conclusion
This BMW E30 325iA presents itself as an honest, well-maintained unit ready to drive, ideal for both everyday use and for a collection. The quality of its upkeep, its original configuration, and its overall condition make it a very attractive option within the BMW classic car market.
Kind regards.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
