Lot with 1 monograph + 2 extra postcards
Joe Colombo (Cesare Colombo, Milan 1930 - 1971) was a renowned Italian designer and architect, known for his visionary and futuristic style, characterized by the use of new materials, dynamic furniture systems and global housing solutions. His career, though brief, left an indelible mark on international design, winning numerous awards including the Compasso d'Oro in 1967.
Their creations are icons of Italian design and many are part of permanent museum collections, such as New York's MoMA: Acrylic Lamp (gold medal at the XIII Triennale, 1964); Spider Lamp (Compasso d'Oro in 1967); Tube Chair (permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs of the Louvre); Boby trolley (S.M.A.U. award and part of MoMA's permanent collection); Plastic chair for Kartell (injection-molded in 1968)
