Breitling Chronomat B13350 from the period 2000–2010 with automatic movement.
Description from the seller
I would like to bring a special watch from my private collection to your attention for a possible sale or consignment. It is a Breitling Chronomat Vitesse (Reference B13050) in a rare configuration.
As the first owner, I can guarantee the full history of this watch. The set is unique because of the following characteristics:
Vitesse edition: equipped with the sought-after dial featuring cursive Arabic numerals.
Matching UTC module: The watch is equipped with an original UTC module on the Rouleaux band, also featuring the matching Vitesse numerals.
Technically in like-new condition: In July 2022 the watch was completely serviced by Schaap + Citroen. The invoice for this revision, amounting to €1,940, is of course available. The dial, hands, and all components have been renewed in the movement, with fresh oil, etc.
The watch has always been in a watch winder when not worn.
The benefits of this are:
Preservation of Lubrication: Watch oils can, over time, harden or become viscous if a watch is left still for years. The watch winder keeps the oils in motion, which benefits the service life of the overhaul carried out by Schaap + Citroen.
Ready to Use Right Away: Since your watch also has a UTC module and a date function, it’s convenient that you don’t have to set it manually every time. This also helps prevent wear on the screw-down crown (a vulnerable point on Breitlings from that period).
Full Set: Includes original box, all documentation and warranty certificates.
Given the rarity of this configuration and the excellent technical condition, I am looking for a collector who understands this watch.
a few more interesting collector's facts about this watch:
1. The "Last of the Classics"
This model is one of the last Chronomats with the classic case size of 39-40mm. Not long after, Breitling introduced the "Evolution" models, which were much bigger and thicker. In the current market there is a huge trend underway where collectors are actually returning to these classic sizes. It wears more discreetly under a shirt, but thanks to the UTC module it still has that impressive "instrument-look".
2. The legendary 'Rouleaux' (Kogel) Band
The band on this watch is the famous Rouleaux strap. It was originally designed for the legendary Italian aerobatic team Frecce Tricolori. It is one of the most recognizable and comfortable watch bands ever made. The fact that it has the stretch that belongs to an original owner proves that the watch has been worn for what it was intended: as a reliable instrument.
3. The "Bulletproof" Movement
The heart of this watch is the Breitling Caliber 13 (based on the Valjoux 7750). This is regarded in the watch world as one of the most robust and reliable chronograph movements ever built. Because in 2022 it underwent that huge investment of €2,040 for an official Breitling revision, this specific movement is now in a state you almost never find: it runs again within the strict COSC chronometer standards. This watch does not require maintenance for the first 10 years.
Of course it has the scratches from use.
I would be pleased to hear whether you are interested in adding this watch to your collection.
Kind regards
