Hopf - - Violin - Germany (No reserve price)

Antique Hopf violin from the early 20th century. The violin was built in the 19th century in Klingenthal. Beautiful are the intriguing flames in the maple back, carved from a single piece. Very fine spruce is used for the top. The historical character is further enhanced by the light patina in the tasteful varnish. The characterful sound is warm, singing and colorful.
The violin is in good used condition; the bridge is loose.
Complete with the original wooden case with hardware; there is no key for the lock.
There are bows with these; they have probably been restored at least once—see photo.
The violin is in good condition and in its original, unrestored condition.
