Up for auction is a classic Ihagee Exa I, a distinct and beautifully engineered 35mm Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera produced in Dresden, East Germany, during the early 1960s. The Exa series was designed as a more compact and simplified version of the legendary Exakta, sharing its modular system and unique trapezoidal body shape.
This camera features an interchangeable waist-level viewfinder, providing a classic shooting experience. It is paired with the highly regarded Meyer-Optik Görlitz Lydith 3.5/30mm wide-angle lens. The Lydith is famous among vintage lens enthusiasts for its exceptional sharpness, distinct "bubble" bokeh, and excellent color rendition.
