Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Two ceramic wall lamps with opaline glass shades, designed by Sigvard Bernadotte for Ifö Belysning in Sweden (Model 6020), circa 1960–1970, in excellent unused condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Designed by Sigvard Oscar Fredrik Bernadotte, Prince Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg, he was a Swedish prince and industrial designer. He was the second son of King Gustav VI Adolf of Sweden and his first wife, Margaret, Duchess of Scania, a granddaughter of the British Queen Victoria.
This is a beautiful, rare vintage set of ceramic wall lamps with opaline milk glass shades designed by Sigvard Bernadotte for Ifö Electric from Sweden.
The glass shades and the porcelain holders are connected to each other by screw threads on both shades. They have a narrow socket into which an elongated LED lamp or a conventional lamp up to a maximum of 40 watts can be fitted.
See the photo of the Swedish attachment instruction.
This is the classic mounting instruction for the Ifö 6020 series (as with the well-known Ifö Electric Bernadotte wall luminaires).
Porcelain is durable but brittle. To prevent cracks, follow these steps:
No pliers: Never use pliers to pry open the cable inlet; the pressure can crack the entire pedestal.
From outside to inside: Place a screwdriver on the outside of the marked cutout.
Tap: Tap gently with a hammer on the screwdriver. Start at the edge and work your way toward the center until the hole is large enough.
Dimensions H 15 cm x W 7 cm x D 10.5 cm
Total Weight: 1476 grams
Both items are in excellent, well-preserved condition and never used. They are securely packaged for smart shipping in the original packaging, sent by registered mail and insured, with a tracking code.
