Polychrome earthenware amphora-shaped jug with twin handles, relief-decorated in vibrant tones of pink, cobalt, brown and white. The body features stylised panels of sunburst/eye motifs, alternating with a dynamic depiction of a classical charioteer in full gallop, framed within a speckled textured ground. Richly glazed in black at the handles and rim. This vase perfectly illustrates the long-standing confusion between between Amphora-Werke Reissner and the Imperial line: the impressed Amphora-stamp suggests Reissner, but the surviving Imperial Amphora label confirms its true origin.
