Description from the seller

This is an evening bag, also called a frame bag, made of burgundy or dark red velvet with an elegantly decorated real-silver frame and a chain strap.
The design of such bags with detailed metal frames is characteristic of the late 19th and early 20th centuries,
From the marks Minerva, letter E, a small lion, and the letter L, this would have been made between the years 1814 and 1925.

Main Features
Material: burgundy velvet.
Style: It is a frame purse (frame purse) or evening bag, which was popular as an accessory for formal occasions.

Frame & Hinge: The openwork metal frame and the chain.
