Team Assen is a team of pupils, students, teachers and staff from various secondary schools and universities in and around Assen. Together they are committed to raising funds for cancer research and for improving the quality of life for people with cancer.

Participants from Team Assen take part in Alpe d’HuZes, an annual athletic event in France in which participants climb the famous Alpe d’Huez (for example by cycling, running, or walking). In one day, participants can ascend the mountain up to six times, of course depending on their discipline and condition.

The goal of Team Assen is to raise as much money as possible for cancer research, especially through the KWF Fund (Queen Wilhelmina Fund), which uses these proceeds for research and support for people with cancer.

The full proceeds from this auction go to support this special charitable cause.
