AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful and stylish Louis XVI buffet cabinet.
Around 1775.
The top panel is laminated with very special Bloem mahogany, an extinct type of wood. This mahogany was also very valuable and special in 1775.

A surprising and playful piece of furniture.
This cabinet is a real buffet.
You can fold up the top and then the cabinet is 154 cm high.
In this section a beautiful - original - pewter tap jug comes into view.
Below this tap jug is a pewter basin for ice cubes and water to cool wine or champagne.
Everything in good and usable condition.
You can also fold out four shelves to place wine glasses on, for example.
You can also pull out two shelves on the sides to place even more dishes on.
The drawers have compartments for cutlery lined with green felt.
The felt is clean and like new.

In those days, dinner was sometimes eaten in the dining room.
In the doors we see rocailles, marquetry of irregularly shaped shells that were very popular at the time.
Furthermore, very artfully inlaid piping.

I do not ship to countries outside the EU.
Customers from those countries must arrange their own transportation.
This can be done in consultation with me.
You can always choose to arrange the transportation yourself if you prefer.
Please take this into account when making your payment.
