The subject of the auction is a pair of bookends with images of elephants. The bookends are made of hard, exotic wood with visible grain. Handmade by a local artist, each one has its own unique appearance and differs in detail. Brought back from a trip to Sri Lanka. Dated to the 1960s. The items are in good condition for their age, with signs of use (one elephant is missing its tusks) - see the photos, which are part of the description.
