Elegant pair of Art Deco bookends featuring stylized seahorses, made of golden metal and mounted on solid natural marble bases.
Each bookend features a highly decorative seahorse design, with a stylized and symmetrical treatment characteristic of late Art Deco taste. The figures show careful modeling, with well-defined reliefs and an appealing contrast between the curved lines of the marine motif and the solid geometry of the base. The red eye detail stands out, adding a splash of color and sophistication to the whole.
