Colorfully glazed wall relief with Mary and Child, set in a niche-shaped surround with a decorative border and relief angel heads at the bottom. Expressive modeling and vivid glaze use. Signed A. Noseda, one of the pioneers of Torhout or Flemish pottery, who set up his own workshop in 1914 and was especially active between the two world wars.

Height approx. 30 cm; good overall condition with normal signs of aging and use, light glaze wear and small irregularities inherent to the material and its age.
