Escita culture bronze arrowhead dating to 200 BC, transformed into antique jewellery with a sterling silver cap and chain, acquired in 2024 from a Spanish auction house, previously in a private UK collection since 1980.
Description from the seller
Beautiful arrowhead from Scythian culture transformed into antique jewelry using a cap and a sterling silver chain—anti-joys and durable.
Dated to 200 B.C. and part of a private collection in the United Kingdom since 1980.
This particular arrow is a warning arrow for a friendly flank; it has a hole deliberately made so that when fired it could whistle and announce its position to the friendly line, no doubt an extraordinary piece with signs of use.
A declaration sheet is provided, as such a sheet in these pieces is synonymous with guarantee and legitimacy.
Customs costs outside the European Union will be paid by the auction winner.
