Description from the seller
Beautifully shaped antique walnut bureau in excellent condition, dating from the 1920s. It features several lovely characteristics and a warm, rich color, full of character. The exterior of the writing surface and the top are both cross-grained in figure walnut. The corners are rounded, and the sides slope backward in the middle. The interior is beautifully finished with the original leather writing surface, shaped drawers, shaped compartments, and a single cabinet in the center. There is a single drawer below with original copper handles and pull-out loafers on either side of the drawer to support the writing surface. This bureau also has some fine shell carvings on the tops of the shaped solid walnut legs, which have interestingly formed feet.
Ultimately, a splendid piece.
