Spectacular work created in pastels, gouache, and watercolors on cardboard by the brilliant artist Robert Demachy, France 1859-1936.
He was born on July 7, 1859, in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
Within a wealthy family with financial businesses, he received an excellent education at school.

He was a banker, painter of the French high society, and
music enthusiast
In 1870, he moved to Brussels for a period due to the intensification of the Franco-Prussian War; in the same year, he discovered photography and became passionate about it. From that moment, he dedicated his time to it, continuously taking photographs and writing about photography. Although he never worked professionally as a photographer, he made it the activity to which he devoted the most time.
In 1882, he was elected a member of the French Society of Photography, which allowed him to meet the leading figures.
European photographers of the era. Their works are represented throughout the European continent and beyond.
Sold with a frame from a later period.
It is titled but cannot be described and dated 1924. The dimensions of the work without frame are 30x25. It is in very good condition, with no dampness or tears.
It belonged to a French family residing in southern Spain for decades; it is shipped perfectly packed by an international company.
