Elegant pill box in vermeil silver (silver gilded internally), finely crafted and decorated, dating back to the 20th century.
The lid features a precious hand-painted enamel miniature depicting a romantic scene in 18th-century style with two female figures in period dress, set in a bucolic landscape. The scene is enclosed in a refined rocaille-motif frame with translucent enamels in shades of brown and gold.
The sides of the box are hand-engraved with continuous geometric and floral motifs. The interior is completely gilded, well preserved, and features the original hinge in perfect working order.
Inside the bottom there are legible hallmarks, including the 800 silver title, which confirm the quality of the metal.
Excellent overall condition.
Well preserved miniature, with normal signs of age
Slight internal micro scratches consistent with use
No visible breakages or restorations
Material: 800‰ gold-plated silver (vermeil)
Decoration: hand-painted miniature on enamel
