Description from the seller
Elegant silver tea and coffee service, consisting of four pieces plus a larger coordinated tray, with remarkable visual impact and decorative quality. The set impresses with its harmonious shapes, rich decorations, and generous dimensions.
Composition of the service
1) Coffee maker (24x24x14 cm, weight 686 grams).
Teapot (20x28x15.5 cm, weight 699 grams).
Milk jug (11.5x15x9 cm, weight 246 grams).
Sugar bowl with lid (12.5x15x11 cm., weight 278 grams)
Round tray (diameter 40 cm, weight 863 grams).
The service is made of silver-colored metal, with embossing and chasing techniques.
The bodies are bulbous and shaped, with surfaces adorned with intricate decoration that is rich yet balanced. Floral and vegetal motifs, alternated with scrolls and stylized patterns, create refined plays of light that enhance the brilliance of the silvering.
Handles, spouts, and socket outlets of the lids are carefully shaped, giving the entire piece a strong sculptural character. The large-sized tray (40 cm) features a shaped and decorated edge, perfectly consistent with the style of the main pieces.
In terms of style, technique, and decorative taste, the service can be dated between the late 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century (approximately 1890–1915), a period associated with the Belle Époque, with influences from late Rococo and decorative Liberty.
The absence of stamps or marks is consistent with many European productions intended for the domestic market or export, typical of artisan workshops or unbranded manufactories.
Good overall condition, with slight signs of age and use, consistent with the item's age, which do not compromise its overall aesthetics but confirm its historical authenticity. The silvering is generally well preserved. The pieces show some small dents.
A highly visually impactful piece, ideal for collectors, interior designers, or to enhance a classic interior with an authentic and scenic object, a testament to the elegance of early 20th-century European salons.
Please review the photographic gallery carefully, as it is an integral part of the description, to avoid any unpleasant misunderstandings.
Careful packaging and shipment with tracking.
