Anatolian carpets - Kelim - 267 cm - 150 cm

This kelim is old and has antique value. The Anatolian kelim is a traditional tribal rug woven in Anatolia. Anatolian kelims feature a long, coarse pile, tied with Ghiordes knots. The warp and weft (the weft between the knots) are usually made of sheep wool or goat hair. The rugs typically display large geometric motifs in bright colors on a dark brown background; the colors are often described as brilliant. The sides of the rugs are either selvage edges, often with goat hair, or finished with colored yarn, and the ends have braided fringes.

Very good condition. No stains or damages. Cleaned with a non-chemical shampoo.
