Description from the seller

Rare Russian Orthodox folding icon with four hinged panels, cast in bronze or copper alloy, richly decorated with high-relief biblical scenes.
The iconography includes multiple scenes from the Life of Christ and major Orthodox feast days, arranged in registers, with arched tops typical of Russian devotional icons.

The interior panels are finely detailed with saints, angels, and narrative scenes; traces of original dark patina and remnants of blue/black enamel are visible in recesses, consistent with traditional Russian casting techniques.
The exterior panels are plain, as expected for travel or домашний (domestic) icons.

Period: Late 18th – early 19th century
Material: Bronze / copper alloy
Technique: Cast, engraved, partially enameled
Condition: Good antique condition; visible wear, patina, enamel losses, and oxidation consistent with age. Hinges intact and functional.
