The work in question arises from a need to address the topic of divinity.
The gods and their manifestations, belonging to both the Greek pantheon and the Christian and Middle Eastern traditions, have not abandoned modern man entirely; in a more evanescent way, they still reveal themselves to us, they communicate through myths and legends that remain ever relevant, and they are still part of our deepest interior.
The simulacra I photographed, with this technique that evokes the dawn of photography, aptly represent the idea, emerging as archetypes from our unconscious.

The work in question arose from the need to address the topic of 'divinity'.
The gods and their manifestations, belonging both to the Greek pantheon and to the Christian and Middle Eastern tradition, have not completely abandoned modern man, in a more evanescent way, they still show themselves to us, they communicate through ever-current myths and legends, they are still part of our profound interiority.
The simulacra photographed by me, using this technique that recalls the dawn of photography, represent the idea well, emerging as archetypes from our unconscious.

Tommaso Grella was born in Roccapiemonte on October 29, 1973, and, while still very young, he devoted himself to fine art and documentary photography.
Her works, both photographic and painterly, are exhibited in various exhibitions at the Diocesan Caritas of Salerno.
Founder of the association "Bianco Fotografico" in 1996, with which he presents various events.
Project together with others 'Estate in Villa', the 1997 series 'Quetzalcóatl', in 1998 'Visione Zen', and also 'On Voyage' are inspired by the great American photographer Lee Friedlander.
The 1998 work "Dream" is, instead, an homage to cinematography; among them it is influenced by the works of Michelangelo Antonioni, François Truffaut, Federico Fellini, Terrence Malick, Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, and Bernardo Bertolucci.
Collaborate as a photographer for the magazine 'Sposa Magazine'.
Subsequent works draw inspiration from the giants of world photography: Sarah Moon, Masao Yamamoto, Peter Lindbergh, Ralph Gibson, Joel-Peter Witkin, Josef Koudelka, Mimmo Jodice.
He continues with several solo exhibitions, and in 1999 opens a studio-gallery in the province of Salerno, focusing on ceremonial photo reportage; he publishes various art calendars for the region.
They are successfully engaged in advertising and industrial photography.
In digital photography and in other trade magazines, they publish his/her photos.
They become passionate about web design and the new opportunities the web offers, blending traditional photography techniques with next-generation software.
Over the years, further research has followed; in the portfolio section, next to the title of the work, the series to which it belongs is indicated.
A core pillar of his work is to capture unconventional images capable of awakening the conscience with themes such as: a reflection on the relationship now dormant with divinity, the nature that is within us but forgotten, the diminished daily affections, and the alien gaze on what one wants to define as reality.
Immersion in a dreamlike world can only do us good, as our being is lobotomized by ethical and economic values that do not belong to us, opening doors to other realities mistreated by modern society, but worthy of attention and dignity.
