Antique pair of decorative window bands in forged iron with movable kloben lugs, dating to the mid- to late-19th century (ca. 1850–1900), each measuring approximately 30 × 20 × 4 cm and together weighing about 2 kg, in good used condition with patina, suitable for restoration projects or wall display.
Description from the seller
An antique pair of decorative window bands with lugs made of solid forged iron, produced in the mid-19th century (c. 1840–1880).
The L-shaped bands are decorated with stylized leaf ornaments and display typical features of Central European window fittings of this period.
Both window bands feature original movable cleats with pins. The craftsmanship, visible forge marks, and the uniform dark patina of age attest to an authentic manufacture from the 19th century.
These fittings were originally used on window sashes or shutters and were mounted externally, visible from the outside.
Very decorative original pieces, ideal for restoration projects of historic buildings, for collectors of antique architectural fittings, or as stylish wall decoration.
